Appeal of Jeremy Edwards to a Re-Inspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy With Deficiencies at 1700 AKA (1702) GRAND AVENUE.

Purpose of Appeal: REF#: 13413 We are appealing the need for a vented fan for an employee only toilet in the basement of 1702 Grand Avenue. It is not feasible to add ductwork without going through the tenants kitchen space. There is NO fire hazard for the use of the toilet. We are requesting that the space be allowed to be used as is for the forseable future.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Jeremy Edwards to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1700 AKA (1702) GRAND AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant until March 4, 2016 for compliance with the order for the installation of a bathroom fan, or for the bathroom use to be discontinued, and grant to June 1, 2016 for the parking surface to come into compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
