Ratifying the assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during March 20 to September 24, 2024. (File No. VB2507, Assessment No. 258806)
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 25-148 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during the time period of March 20 to September 24, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on April 9, 2025 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2026; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments:
RLH TA 25-118: 759 Charles Avenue;
RLH TA 25-115: 686 Edmund Avenue;
RLH TA 25-137: 606 Lafond Avenue;
RLH TA 25-120: 120 Lyton Place;
RLH TA 25-122: 1024 Minnehaha Avenue East; and
WHEREAS, the assessment will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.
