Ratifying the assessment for Rubbish & Garbage Clean Up services during February 1 to 12, 2024. (File No. J2420R, Assessment No. 248524)
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 24-629 accepted the Report of Completion for Rubbish &Garbage Clean Up on Private Properties during the time period of February 1 to February 12, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on August 7, 2024 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2025; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments which will be considered separately:
RLH TA 24-303: 342 Bates Avenue (Legislative Hearing on August 6, 2024);
RLH TA 24-236: 1056 Beech Street;
RLH TA 24-232: 549 Dayton Avenue;
RLH TA 24-268: 1841 Dayton Avenue;
RLH TA 24-240: 1069 Fremont Avenue;
RLH TA 24-251: 978 Hyacinth Avenue East;
RLH TA 24-250: 927 Orange Avenue East;
RLH TA 24-249: 749 Sims Avenue;
RLH TA 24-235: 392/394 University Avenue West; and
WHEREAS, the assessments will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessments are hereby in all respects ratified.
