WHEREAS on July 7, 2021, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File RLH TA 21-216, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during June 1 to November 13, 2020. (File No. VB2107, Assessment No. 218806)
WHEREAS, the property at 971 Arcade Street, being described as: Arlington Hills Addition to St. Paul 40/45 Thru 49 N 25 Ft of Lot 18 Blk 20, with the property identification number 29-29-22-14-0180 was assessed an amount of $2284; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommended approving the assessment as owner did not complete the repairs as deadline was July 7, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the owner, Hong Kong Vang, reached out to our office after receiving the vacant building invoice and indicated that he received his Certificate of Occupancy in May 2021; and
WHEREAS, after further conversation with Dept of Safety and Inspections staff and reviewing if the file, a Certificate of Occupancy was issued on May 20, 2021; therefore, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends reducing the assessment from $2284 to $1142; Now, Therefore Be It,
RESOLVED, that Council Files RLH TA 21-216 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
