Authorizing the Police Department to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Ramsey County and other non-government agencies for participation in the Body Worn Camera project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) was awarded the Body Worn Camera grant (RES 15-2106) and is wanting to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Ramsey County and other non-government organizations; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to define the participation of these stakeholders in the development of the policies, practices and training with the implementation of body worn cameras; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into and authorizes Chief Thomas Smith to implement these agreements, as substantially set forth in the attached agreement.
