Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Kotz was originally given March 10 for a Legislative Hearing date, but he requested to be heard on March 24 instead (there is no hearing on March 17). Kotz was called later and told that his Legislative Hearing could be March 24 if the property remains vacant. Kotz responded the property will be vacant.
Kotz called on 3/9/15 and told staff that he just received a Vacant Building Registration Notice in the mail and asked if he could also appeal this. Staff told him he could.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Eugene Kotz to a Revocation of Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Order to Vacate at 315 BLAIR AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant six (6) weeks to get Fire Certificate of Occupancy re-instated before being referred to the Vacant Building Program; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
