Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): My home was unoccupied beginning Feb 19, 2019 thru Feb 29,2020. As of today April 13,2020, there have been no garbage collected from my home since Feb 2019. I am disputing billing for services provided October thru December 2019.
Staff Comments: Staff confirmed that the property was never listed as vacant during that time period. Staff is also able to confirm that there was never a UDRF submitted during that time period as well. Hauler confirmed that the resident only contacted them in 05/2019 about the vacancy and they referred them to Solid Waste Program staff. Therefore, staff recommends approving the assessment.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2019. (File No. CG2001D1, Assessment No. 200112) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
