Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $300 to accept the donation received from the Saint Paul Fire Supervisory Association for the Safety Camp.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Summer Safety Camp is sponsored by the Saint Paul Fire, Police and Parks Departments, Regions Hospital, Minneapolis Children's Hospital, the Boy Scouts of America, MN Bike, Kimberly Horn, Allegra Image 360, Minnesota United, and the Fire Hall and Museum; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Safety Camp is to teach inner-city children between 5-14 years old lessons in health and safety including fire safety, water safety, pedestrian safety, animal safety, bike safety, sports safety, self-defense, and first aid; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Supervisory Association has offered to donate $300 to the Fire Department as part of its support of the Safety Camp; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the donation received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $300 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 budget; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council that $300 is available for appropriation in the 2018 budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, is hereby amended as outlined in the attached financial analysis; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this donation of $300 from the Saint Paul Fire Supervisory Association and thanks them for their generous gift.
