Comments:  Vehicle abatement order also issued to remove car parked on unimproved surface. Re-inspected on 7/26/19 and car had not been removed. Inspector spoke to adult son of PO and explained the car could not be parked in the yard. Inspector granted an extension to 8/9/19; property was in compliance upon re-inspection on 8/9/19.

History of Orders on Property:  3/21/18 SA for garbage/rubbish which was done by owner.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Property Clean Up services during July 12 to 31, 2019. (File No. J2004A, Assessment No. 208503 File No. J2004A2, Assessment No. 208518) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and

 

WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby ratified and reduced from $442 to $221, if since there are were no same or similar violations by April 15, 2020.
