Pertaining to Amendment to Contract No. 4478 to provide professional design and construction management and observation for the Robert Street bridge water main repair.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul desires to obtain professional design and construction inspection and observation for the repair of the Robert Street bridge water main; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Regional Water Services previously entered into Contract No. 4478 with Stantec Consulting Services to provide professional engineering services to perform an inspection of the water main and develop repair alternatives with a cost not to exceed $49,000; and
WHEREAS, upon inspection, Stantec Consulting Services recommends certain repairs be made to the water main for the purpose of reinstating it into active service within the distribution system; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to Contract No 4478 with Stantec Consulting service is necessary to develop design plans and specifications for construction of such repairs and to conduct construction management and observation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul hereby requests that City of Saint Paul Contracts and Analysis Services draft an Amendment to the Agreement with Stantec Consulting Services dated February 15, 2024 known as Contract 4478 to provide professional design and construction management and observation for the Robert Street bridge water main repair, as described in the Stantec proposal dated April 10, 2024, at a cost not to exceed 190,000, and to include all other terms and conditions as may be required.
