Pertaining to a Planning Grant application to the Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) to fund an assessment and opportunities study for current and future stormwater best management practices (BMPs) at the McCarrons Treatment Plant campus.

WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul has need to conduct an assessment and opportunities study for stormwater best management practices at the McCarrons Treatment Plant campus; and
WHEREAS, staff has been advised to apply for Planning Grant funding to be used for conducting the stormwater study from the Capitol Region Watershed District, with a possibility of full funding of the total estimated cost of $30,000 for the study; and
WHEREAS, the Board has the legal authority to apply for the grant, and the financial, technical, and managerial capacity to comply with the grant agreement; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby direct staff to make application for grant funding to the Capitol Region Watershed District, and hereby authorizes its General Manager of Saint Paul Regional Water Services to execute any and all forms as may be required in said application.
