Authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Council for the METRO E Line Bus Rapid Transit Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council plans to construct the METRO E Line Bus Rapid Transit Project extending from the western border of Saint Paul through Minneapolis and ending in Edina; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council will construct the project in the City generally along University Avenue and Berry Street; and
WHEREAS, the City grants the Council and its contractors the right to enter onto City property, as defined in the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council or its contractors will apply for and obtain all applicable permits required for the construction of the project; and
WHEREAS, the City is not responsible for the ownership and maintenance of any infrastructure related to the project; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Metropolitan Agreement No. 23I095, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and, be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the agreement and any amendments to the agreement.
