Title

Amending Council File RLH VBR 23-62, adopted November 1, 2023, to grant Alex Delendik an additional extension for property at 827 AGATE STREET.

 

Body

WHEREAS, on November 1, 2023, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File #RLH VBR 23-62, said Resolution being the memorialization of an appeal to a Vacant Building Registration Notice for property at 827 Agate Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing recommended that the City Council deny the appeal to be released from the Registered Vacant Building Program, but waive vacant building fee for 60 days to December 4, 2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council considered the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter; and

 

WHEREAS, the Appellant, Alex Delendik, requested the legislative hearing officer to reconsider and review the matter again due to conflicting information given to him by the Department of Safety & Inspections; and

 

WHEREAS, Legislative Hearings were conducted on February 13 and 27, 2024 under File No. SR -24-6; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council release the property from the Vacant Building Program and grant to May 1, 2024 for compliance with AC repair and exterior items (including grading), and to April 15, 2024 for balance of the orders, pending updated bids and schedule explaining the cost versus scope of work in more detail and proof of financing sufficient to complete the rehab; Now Therefore, Be It,

 

RESOLVED, City Council adopts the findings and recommendation of the Legislative Hearing Officer and extensions to April 15, 2024 and May 1, 2024 are granted as described above.
