WHEREAS on August 23, 2023, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 23-57, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during January to March 2023. (File No. CG2302A1, Assessment No. 230108); and
WHEREAS, the property at 1119 Cleveland Avenue South, being described as: Hiawatha Park Addition No. 2, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minn. Subj to Ave Lots 9 and Lot 10 Blk 1, with the property identification number 17-28-23-44-0052 was assessed an amount of $71.84; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff recommends deleting the assessment because the previous owner made payment to the hauler after the assessment date and the hauler refunded the money and charged the new owner for the same service period and it was paid in full with the July bill; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $71.84, plus any accrued interests, is deleted and the Offices of Financial Services will abate this from the 2023 Property Taxes Statement.
