Authorizing the appropriate personnel to enter into MnDOT Detour Agreement No. 1055747 for the Trunk Highway 51 (Snelling Ave) project.

WHEREAS, the State is about to perform bituminous mill and surfacing, lighting, signals, and ADA improvements construction upon, along, and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 51 from Montreal Avenue to County State Aid Highway No. 42 (Ford Parkway) under State Project No. 6215-117 (T.H. 51=125);
AND WHEREAS, the State requires a detour to carry T.H. 51 traffic on Fairview Avenue and Montreal Avenue during the construction;
AND WHEREAS, the State is willing to reimburse the City for the road life consumed by the detour as set forth in the attached agreement,
AND WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 471.59, subdivision 10 and 161.25, subdivision 2(b), authorize the parties to enter into this Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the City of Saint Paul enter into MnDOT Detour Agreement No. 1055747 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes:
To Provide for payment by the State to the City for the use of Fairview Avenue and Montreal Avenue for a total distance of 0.87 miles.
Be it further resolved that the Mayor and the proper City officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any attachments to the Agreement.
