Pertaining to a lease agreement with T-Mobile Central, LLC allowing for the continued use of wireless telecommunication operation at the Board’s Sterling Avenue Water Tower, located at 645 Sterling Avenue, Maplewood, Minnesota.

WHEREAS, T-Mobile Central, L.L.C. wishes to locate wireless telecommunications antennas and appurtenances for cell phone services at the Board’s Sterling Avenue Water Tower and the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul wishes to lease certain space at said location for that purpose; and
WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a Site Lease Agreement to provide for such operations, which includes a 5-year term beginning January 1, 2027 that automatically renews for three additional 5-year terms, a starting annual rent of $72,369.47, a 5% annual rent escalator, and terms and conditions consistent with the protection of Board operations; and
WHEREAS, the assistant city attorney has reviewed said Site Lease Agreement and has approved it as to form; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Site Lease Agreement between the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul and T-Mobile Central L.L.C. allowing for the operation of a wireless communication system at the Board’s Sterling Avenue Water Tower site located at 645 Sterling Avenue in the city of Maplewood, MN is hereby approved in substantially the form submitted, and that the proper officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Site Lease Agreement on behalf of the Board.
