Pertaining to a Cooperative Agreement between the Board and Ramsey County to share the cost for the reconstruction of a portion of Eustis Street in Saint Paul.


Body
WHEREAS, the Board and Ramsey County entered into agreement dated March 10,2009, for the purpose to minimize traffic disruptions and roadway replacement cost by having water facility work performed in conjunction with Ramsey County project whenever possible; and

WHEREAS, Ramsey County is reconstructing a portion of Eustis Street from Larpentuer Avenue West to approximately 360 feet north of Como Avenue (the “Project”) which includes grading, bituminous surfacing, concrete surfacing, ADA improvements, storm sewer improvements, water main, signing & striping, and traffic signals; and

WHEREAS, the Project has been designated as County Project No. P-3397; and

WHEREAS, Ramsey County will have its contractor perform the water distribution improvements along the Project; and

WHEREAS, the benefitting responsible parties, Ramsey County, City of Saint Paul, City of Lauderdale discussed the project impacts and recommended the following cost distributions of the estimated Actual Costs, based on benefit to the parties:


Board of Water Commissioners - $113,950.82 - 4%

City of Saint Paul - $63,327.71 - 2%

Ramsey County - $2,479,560.32 - 75%

Ramsey County (City of Lauderdale) - $642,960.81 - 19%

TOTAL - $3,309,322.20 - 100%


WHEREAS, Ramsey County staff prepared a Cooperative Agreement which sets forth the above cost distribution, and other such terms and conditions necessary to administer the funding distribution, and staff does recommend approval of said Cooperative Agreement in substantially the form submitted; now, therefore, be it
