Title

Pertaining to a Planning Grant Agreement between the Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) and the Board of Water Commissioners to define the administration of grant funding to fund an assessment and opportunities study for current and future stormwater best management practices (BMPs) at the McCarrons Treatment Plant campus.

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul has need to conduct an assessment and opportunities study for stormwater best management practices at the McCarrons Treatment Plant campus; and

                     

WHEREAS, staff had been directed by the Board at its January 11, 2024 meeting to apply for $26,300 in Planning Grant funding from the Capitol Region Watershed District to be used for offsetting a majority of the cost of the study; and

 

WHEREAS, the Capitol Region Watershed District approved a grant in the amount of $26,300 for such a purpose; and

 

WHEREAS, the Capitol Region Watershed District has prepared a Planning Grant Agreement (“Grant Agreement”) which details the policies and procedures for the administration of the grant funds; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board had the legal authority to apply for the grant, and has the financial, technical, and managerial capacity to comply with the Grant Agreement; and

 

RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby approve the Grant Agreement between the Board and the Capitol Region Watershed District pertaining to the policies and procedures for the administration of grant funds totaling $26,300 and that the proper officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Grant Agreement on behalf of the Board, following approval by the assistant city attorney.
