Approving the application for change of ownership to the Liquor Off Sale and Tobacco Shop license now held by Sardul LLC d/b/a J’s Wine and Spirits (License ID #20240000437) for the premises located at 2389 University Avenue West.

WHEREAS, Sardul LLC d/b/a J’s Wine and Spirits (License ID #20240000437) applied for a change of ownership to the Liquor Off Sale and Tobacco Shop license on March 17, 2024, for the premises 2389 University Avenue West, in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the license application notification was sent out by the Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) on April 10, 2024, with a response date of April 25, 2024; and
WHEREAS, on April 4, 2024, the Department of Safety and Inspections received a letter from St. Anthony Park Community Council stating their support for the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, in response to the notification no objections or comments were received; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, the change of ownership for the Liquor Off Sale and Tobacco Shop license is hereby approved and issued to Sardul LLC d/b/a J’s Wine and Spirits (License ID #20240000437) for the premises located at 2389 University Avenue West, in Saint Paul with the following existing license conditions:
1. Licensee acknowledges that the only items permitted to be sold on the premises are those specifically authorized for an exclusive liquor store under Minnesota Statute 340A.412 Subd. 14
2. The sale of tobacco products requires additional licensing by the City of St. Paul.
