RES 21-324 4/21/2021 5:44 PMMelissa Wenzel For I will be providing more comment on Res 21-62 and believe that both resolutions should be connected/read in order (and feel that Res 21-62 should come first). That said, in order to provide the critical city-wide (and local ward) needs of the city, I am for this resolution. Please see Comment on Res 21-62 for more details as well as my "why." +7 -6 6
Ord 21-8 3/3/2021 8:09 PMJosh Salonek Against I am against the idea to rezone 2069 Marshall Ave from T2 to T3 Traditional Neighborhood. It seems to me that this change would change the neighborhood in a significant way. The purpose of the rezoning seems to be to tear down the house and to put up another apartment building on Marshall Ave. There is already one apartment in the process of being built (2127 Marshall Ave) and it has disrupted our neighborhood. Crime has increased during the building phase and after the apartment complex is up it will add a significant amount of traffic to our already busy street. For these reasons, I do not think the City Council should rezone 2069 Marshall Ave. +6 -4 4
Ord 21-8 3/2/2021 9:46 PMMarc Paveglio Against I live on the 2100 block of Marshall Avenue and I am against the unwise development and rezoning of 2069 Marshall Ave. Please reconsider this application and allow our neighborhoods to be sustainable and healthy. +5 -4 4
Ord 21-4 2/26/2021 9:52 PMJames Wilkinson   We need more flexibility in St Paul housing and the change will help with that. Low income people and particularly immigrants do not have the income to abide by such restrictions that are focused on family relationships. Actual problems with student housing or behavior of residents should be addressed with other powers available to the City. +5 -4 3
