Ord 24-26 2/24/2026 11:05 PMJames Wilkinson For I think it makes sense to further limit drive-throughs for environmental, health and long-term development reasons. So I think City should increase the minimum distance that new drive-throughs must be located from existing and planned Light Rail, Bus Rapid Transit, and Arterial Bus Rapid Transit stops from 300 feet to one-eighth of a mile.
RES 26-330 2/22/2026 6:05 PMAdam Hertell For As a Highland Park resident, I'd like to thank CM Jost for sponsoring this resolution. While the MPCA has shared a number of reasons with the public as to why they cannot hold Ford fully accountable for decades of dumping hazardous chemicals, industrial waste and heavy metals along the bluff of the Mississippi River here in St. Paul, it should be noted that the MPCA could ask to re-open the Superfund process and/or leverage precedent established by the Minnesota Environmental Response and Liability Act (MERLA) to support the selection of Alternative 6 (a full clean-up). From a community perspective, it should also be noted that the Highland District Council voted in favor of a resolution requesting the MPCA to select Alternative 6, a full clean-up of Area C. +1
RES 26-330 2/21/2026 3:41 PMDan Krivit For I have been a resident of Saint Paul for over 46 years. I now live in Highland Park just 5 blocks away from Ford Area C. I strongly encourage you to vote "Yes" to approve this Resolution 26-330 sponsored by my Councilmember, Saura Jost. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) needs to hear a clear and unambiguous voice from the City and neighborhood community that we want full cleanup of this hazardous waste dump site. Full cleanup is what MPCA refers to as "Alternative 6". The next phase of work must include refinements to Alternative 6, full cleanup, including planning, design and refinement of cost estimates. Unanimous p***age of Resolution 26-330 positions the City to advocate for the best protection of the Mississippi River, the health and safety of residents and visitors, and vibrancy of the City going forward. +1
RES PH 26-37 2/8/2026 4:28 PMFerdinand Peters For Madame President and council members. I am the executive in charge of the annual European Christmas Market "ECM" that has taken place for a month of weekends from Thanksgiving until the weekend before Christmas, at the Union Depot in Saint Paul for 13 years. Over 140,000 Visitors come to our peaceful, family-oriented, free festival each year. ECM has felt the pinch of large increases in the cost of security protection services by the Saint Paul Police Department. ECM requests that you create a program to ***ist all festivals, whether a one-day event or a longer event, by not forcing festivals to compete against each other for a security dollar grant. Please provide a percentage write-off of each SPPD invoice to each approved-festival. You know exactly how much is billed by the SPPD each year to festivals, and you know how many have no entrance fees and have existed for several years. Please provide at least a 40% discount from any such invoice from the SPPD. Thank you. +1
RES PH 26-37 2/4/2026 10:22 PMAnika Bowie Against ouncil member Anika, I will consult with our St Paul Delegation because we fought to support our community festivals and this isn't right. Stay strong everyone and thank you to those in community attending to give testimony. The people are the power. Our community cultural festivals are what uplift and celebrate our history while connecting us to our neighbors and brings in tourism where our communities generate revenue for the city. In these moments we need to hold strong these events that serve as our generational institutions of cultural , diversity and pride while providing economic opportunities, a network for youth and family safe resources and programming while establishing unity that last past the celebration event date. Our community is what provides safety and invites law enforcement at the same time to participate in community outreach, but why must they get the funds to do the outreach when there's already funding for those resources directed to SPPD. Stay strong
