Purpose of Appeal
Contractor who installed my windows in Dec. 2010 did not pull a permit and did not obtain permission to install same size windows before doing my windows.  I just learned today from Ken Eggers when he came to my home to look @ windows, that some of them are in non-compliance.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Clarence A. Chaplin to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 1921 LINCOLN AVENUE; the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends grant a 3-inch variance on the openable height of one double hung replacement egress bedroom window measuring at 21.5 inches high by 24 inches wide and grant a 7-inch variance on the openable height of one double replacement egress bedroom window measuring 17.5 inches high by 20.5 inches wide; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
