Purpose of Appeal
Asking for variance on windows, we are way above minimum for square footage, also home owner built step to correct sill difference for egress.

Yes, 5 inches in egress opening height. Also 13 inch variance on maximum sill height, per DSI, as 2 permanent steps installed.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Window World (Esther Dahl), on behalf of Chuck Yang, to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 1468 FREMONT AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 5-inch variance on the openable height of three glider replacement egress bedroom windows measuring 19 inches high by 64 inches wide; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
