Appeal of Brian and Carole Conway to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 65 FLANDRAU PLACE.
Purpose of Appeal
We bought a home for my son and his children to live in as, at this time, he could not qualify for a mortgage. The home is three blocks from our residence. This is not a rental. We feel that there should be an exception for family occupied properties that are not generating income. The property is homesteaded in Ramsey County. (Note: Carole Conway is also concerned about the $180 inspection fee.)

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Brian and Carole Conway to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 65 Flandrau Place, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council Grant the appeal and exempt the appellant from the Fire Certificate of Occupancy Program; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
