Purpose of Appeal
Category 2 building - Replaced two old windows with largest possible w/o opening walls & re-framing.  Made windows bigger than before.  Also, contractor who is long gone did not do any of this so now I'm picking up the pieces.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Mark Mason to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 1152 ROSE AVENUE EAST; the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 1-inch variance on the openable width and a 5-inch variance on the openable height of one double hung replacement egress bedroom window measuring 19 inches wide by 19 inches high, and grant a 3-inch variance on the openable width of one crank-out replacement egress bedroom window measuring 17 inches wide by 43 inches high; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
