WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File 11-1673 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building fees from the month of July 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council's Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the assessment roll, considered appeals of affected property owners and developed recommendations for City Council with respect to those assessments; and
WHEREAS, the following assessment were appealed:
RLH TA 11-369 - 457 Arlington Avenue East;
RLH TA 11-365 - 706 Blair Avenue;
RLH TA 11-362 - 1241 Bradley Street;
RLH TA 11-364 - 1715 Conway Street;
RLH TA 11-377 - 224 Grotto Street North;
RLH TA 11-360 - 806 Hawthorne Avenue East;
RLH TA 11-361 - 925 Magnolia Avenue East;
RLH TA 11-363 - 1340 Seventh Street West;
RLH TA 11-350 - 299 Stinson Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on October 05, 2011 to consider ratification of assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the assessment of benefits, cost and expenses for and in connection with said services, having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having considered same and found the said assessment satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that said assessments be and the same are hereby in all respects ratified; pursuant to Saint Paul City Charter Chapter 14 and Saint Paul Administrative Code Chapter 60: Property Service Cost Assessments with the following amendments:
RLH TA 11-362 - 1241 Bradley Street - Delete the assessment;
RLH TA 11-377 - 224 Grotto Street North - Approve and spread payments over three (3) years;
RLH TA 11-360 - 806 Hawthorne Avenue East - Approve the assessment and made payable over three (3) years;
RLH TA 11-361 - 925 Magnolia Avenue East - Reduce the assessment from $1,235 to $617.50; if the work has not been completed by October 31, 2011, the appellant will be re-...
