Authorizing the proper City officials to proceed with the acquisition of a parcel of vacant land on Springside Avenue.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the following parcel is a tax-forfeited property held in Trust by the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its Real Estate Manager, has secured an agreement for the purchase of one parcel of real property located northwest of 2065 Wildview Avenue and bordering Springside Drive (PIN No. 14.28.22.13.0042), as shown on the attached map and described as:
Burlington Heights, Division No. 1, Ramsey County, Minnesota, Beginning on the Northwest corner of Lot 54, thence to a point on the Southerly line of and 60 feet from the West line of Lot 54; thence to the Southwest corner of Lot 51; thence to the beginning and all of Lot 55, Block 10; and
 
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation of the City of Saint Paul requests that the proper City officials purchase this parcel from the State of Minnesota via the Ramsey County Tax Forfeited Lands Division for the stated purpose of future park and trail development, as well as bluff preservation in the Highwood Bluff area, the value of said property being $500.00 plus filing fees of $92.70; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper City officials to proceed with the acquisition of said parcel for a purchase price of Five Hundred Ninety-Two and 70/100 Dollars ($592.70), including filing fees payable to Ramsey County for the above described parcel.  Said sum is to be charged to Activity Code: 720-50087.
