Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of exercise equipment, valued at $6,000, from Impact Physical Medicine for a fitness center to be located at Dayton's Bluff Recreation Center.

WHEREAS, Impact Physical Medicine of Saint Paul, Minnesota, wishes to donate $6,000 of exercise equipment for general use by the public; and
WHEREAS, this equipment is required for Saint Paul Parks and Recreation to establish a fitness center at Dayton's Bluff Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation wishes to use the donated exercise equipment to provide an affordable health option to the residents of the East Side of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the City believes accepting this donation is a benefit to Saint Paul Parks and Recreation and all of the residents of Saint Paul; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation, appropriates it to the use of establishing a fitness center at Dayton's Bluff Recreation Center, and thanks Impact Physical Medicine of Saint Paul for its generous gift.
