Title

An ordinance revising Legislative Code Chapter 91, pertaining to water meter removal, to update language to conform to new metering system technology.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:

Section 1.

That chapter 91 of Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended as follows:

Chapter 91. - Water Code - Miscellaneous Provisions

Sec. 91.09. - Order to remove meter.

On the request of the owner or authorized agent, the water will be shut off and the meter will be removed and any fixed charge stopped as of the date of removal.  Removal of the any remote meter reading receptacle device and connecting cable shall be at the discretion of the water utility.

Section 2.

The other sections of Chapter 91 shall remain unchanged.

Section 3.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days following its passage, approval and publication.
