Purpose of Appeal
One of my upstairs bedrooms is 25" W x 30" H so it meets the openable height/width but not total sq. footage.  Sill height is 40".  I would like to request a variance.

Yes 1.5 inch variance in egress opening width.  No hearing necessary.
 
Body
WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Rodger Bradford to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 919 TUSCARORA AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 1.5 inch variance on the openable width of the windows in the second floor south bedroom which measures at 40.5 inches high by 18.5 inches wide; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
