Setting the 2012 maximum property tax levy for the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10 of the City Charter, Mayor Coleman presented to the City Council on August 15, 2011, the Mayor's proposed budget, with said recommended budgets totaling $575,507,219; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with City ordinance, Mayor Coleman presented to the City Council on August 19, 2011 the Library Agency's proposed budget, with said recommended budgets totaling $17,847,364; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor did recommend, as part of the comprehensive 2012 financing plan for the City of Saint Paul, that the 2011 net property tax levy payable in 2012 be $99,247,119 as detailed below:

Mayor's Recommended Tax Levy:

City Levy for City Operations 72,538,404
City Levy for Debt Service 10,035,547
City Levy for Library Agency 16,673,168
Total Recommended: 99,247,119

Levy for Port Authority 1,511,700

Net Levy 100,758,819

Levy for Port Authority (1,511,700)
Net Levy for City Government 99,247,119
