Acknowledging receipt of the District Cooling rate change proposal and assigning a rate review team.

WHEREAS, on August 18, 2011, pursuant to Section 11(e) of the District Cooling franchise (City Ordinance CF 07-1109) adopted December 12, 2007, codified as Saint Paul Legislative Code Appendix K), District Cooling St. Paul, Inc. filed a rate change notice with the City (see Attachment A); and
WHEREAS, District Cooling St. Paul, Inc. proposes that the following cooling rates will take effect on October 1, 2011:
Demand: $26.69 per ton per month
Energy: $0.087 per ton-hour
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Council acknowledge the receipt of this notice and direct the Office of Financial Services, in conjunction with City Council Research, to review and analyze the rate change request, and report back to the City Council on their findings within 180 days.
