Home was purchased in 2000; windows were installed. House is stucco and replacing all windows would cause severe financial hardship. Double hung windows have both panes removable. Casement as well.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Michael Taff to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1381 HAZELWOOD STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and grant an extension for 90 days to come into compliance with the downstairs egress bedroom windows, and grant a 2-inch variance on the openable width of the egress windows in the upstairs bedroom; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
