Appeal of Daniel J. Ruza to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1842 ARLINGTON AVENUE EAST.
Purpose of Appeal
Original correction notice was made June 2nd and correction notice was sent sometime after. This notice was never received. When Inspector Thomas appeared for re-inspection, no one was present. Inspector Thomas stated he sent the original notice Certified mail. No one signed for this notice and no receipt was provided by Thomas. Witness statements are attached. I do not expect to be charged for additional inspections.
(Note: after appealed was filed, City Clerk staff attached the more timely July 13, 2011 notice to this appeal.)

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Daniel J. Ruza to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1842 ARLINGTON AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and grant 90 days for compliance on the entire list except the roof which is granted until July 30, 2012; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
