Purpose of Appeal
We are appealing 5 replacement windows that will not comply w/ Egress requirements.  Windows will have opening height - will be short by 1" & 5" but openable width will be exceeded by 4" & 8" respectively.  Please approve.  Homeowners would like to keep style consistent.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Renewal by Andersen, on behalf of Craig and Connie Hecht, to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 789 NEVADA AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 1-inch variance on the openable height of two double hung replacement egress bedroom windows measuring 23 inches high by 24 inches wide; one double hung window measuring 23 inches high by 28 inches wide; and one double hung window measuring 19 inches by 28 inches; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
