Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $300,000 for funds raised by the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy for construction and installation of a new artificial turf soccer field at Oxford Community Center.  
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, a registered not-for-profit organization, is in the process of raising $300,000 of funding for the construction and installation of a new artificial turf soccer field at the Oxford Community Center; and
     
WHEREAS, the funding from the Conservancy has been specifically designated for the purpose of improving the fields at the Oxford Community Center; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to amend the financing and spending budget for the construction and installation of the new artificial turf fields at Oxford Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $300,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2009 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore be it
 
RESOLVED,  that the City Council accepts the funding  to improve the fields at Oxford Community Center and thanks  Saint Paul Parks Conservancy; and be it
 
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $300,000 is available for appropriation in the 2009 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2009 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council.
