Ratifying the assessments for Collection of Vacant Building Fees Services in March 2011. (File No. VB1109, Assessment No. 118062)

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File 11-868 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building fees in March 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council's Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the assessment roll, considered appeals of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to those assessments; and
WHEREAS, the following assessments were appealed:
RLH TA 11-77 880 Case Avenue - Delete the assessment;
RLH TA 11-88 998 Seventh Street East - Refer back to September 6 Legislative Hearings and September 21 City Council public hearings;
RLH TA 11-91 1180 Seventh Street East - Approve the assessment;
RLH TA 11-90 607 Sims Avenue - Approve the assessment;
RLH TA 11-78 1350 Stillwater Avenue - Approve the assessment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on July 6, 2011 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the assessment of benefits, cost and expenses for and in connection with said services, having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having considered same and found the said assessment satisfactory, Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that said assessments be and the same ares hereby in all respects ratified; pursuant to Saint Paul City Charter Chapter 14 and Saint Paul Administrative Code Chapter 60: Property Service Cost Assessment with the following amendments:
RLH TA 11-77 880 Case Avenue - Delete the assessment;
755 Orange Avenue East - Delete the assessment; and
RLH TA 11-88 998 Seventh Street East - Refer back to September 6 Legislative Hearings and September 21 City Council public hearings; And, Be It Further
RESOLVED, that said assessments are hereby amended as specified above.
