Approving the rolling forward of unspent balances of the Solar Cities Grant and appropriating them to be spent in 2011.

Whereas, in 2008 the City of Saint Paul received a grant in the amount of $200,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy to administer a Solar America Cities grant;
Whereas, the City of Saint Paul and project partners have been working to complete activities outlined in the grant, however, additional time was needed to complete the project;
Whereas the City of Saint Paul was granted a no cost time extension from the U.S. Department of Energy to complete the activities outlined in the grant by June 30, 2011;
Whereas, the original grant amount was $200,000, of which $66,955.33 is remaining.
Therefore be it resolved that the Saint Paul City Council approves rolling forward unspent balances of the Solar Cities Grant and appropriates them to be spent in 2011.
Resolved, that the City Council approves these changes to the 2011 budget.
