Appeal of Derrick Williams to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 150 URBAN PLACE.
Purpose of Appeal
This violation was never mentioned before as the apartment building has always passed previous inspections. It was built in 1967 and the code may have never been considered by the builder. Unfortunately, there are so many windows involved that I cannot afford to replace them all at this time. Please consider granting me an appeal. Thank you very much.

Yes. for units 5, 6 and 7 a variance of 8" in the opening height of the egress windows, and for units 1, 2, 3 and 4 a variance of 4 inches in the opening height of the egress window opening.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the appeal of Derrick Williams to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 150 URBAN PLACE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends for units 5, 6 and 7 a variance of 8" in the opening height of the egress windows, and for units 1, 2, 3 and 4 a variance of 4 inches in the opening height of the egress window opening; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
