Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $40,000 to accept a grant from the National Recreation and Park Association to strengthen and expand the summer food program at all Saint Paul Recreation facilities.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has received a $40,000 grant from the National Recreation and Park Association; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to strengthen and expand the summer food program at all Saint Paul Recreation facilities; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has received approval to accept this grant (RES 11-728) and now wishes to increase the financing and spending authority in its Grant and Aid fund to accurately reflect this additional revenue and spending; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $40,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 Grants and Aid Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $40,000 is available for appropriation in the 2011 Grant and Aid Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council is hereby further amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
