Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $5,200.00 to purchase supplies for Project Safe Haven.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has received donations of $5,200.00 from the Residential Mortgage Group (RMG) Inc. to improve the communities where they live, and
WHEREAS, these donations will be used to purchase smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and stove top fire extinguishers for Project Safe Haven, and
WHEREAS,Project Safe Haven is a program that brings citizens and firefighters together to protect families and create a safe home environment with home visits by the firefighters to make sure the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are in working order, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the donations received, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $5,200.00 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 budget and recommends the following addition be made to the 2011 budget:
