Purpose of Appeal
City wants access windows changed and built to 1902 code. Tenants breaking lease by occupying unapproved attic living space. Notice has been given for tenants to comply with city no sleeping requirement or to vacate by 1st May. Ramsey County Social Worker Jennifer Lenz assigned to help family understand due to mild mental issues.

Deny appeal. Grant extension to May 16, 2011 at which time all interior work needs to be completed; all exterior work needs to be complete by June 30, 2011.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the appeal of James Swartwood to a Condemnation and Order to Vacate 697 WESTERN AVENUE NORTH; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and grant extension to May 16, 2011 at which time all interior work needs to be completed; all exterior work needs to be complete by June 30, 2011; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
