Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Planning and Economic Development budget in the amount of a $2,059,877 to accept a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (NSP3) Funds.

Whereas, by Resolution 11-387 the City Council approved the application of grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 funds and upon approval from HUD, authorized the execution of grant agreements and contracts with HUD; and
Whereas, HUD has now approved funding of $2,059,877; and
Whereas, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $2,059,877.00 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2011 budget and recommends the changes to the 2011 budget identified on the attached budget amendment; and
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the budget amendment attached to this Resolution is hereby approved.
