Appeal of William A. Erhart, Erhart Legal LLC, representing John Davidson, to a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate at 499 MARYLAND AVENUE EAST.
Purpose of Appeal
I have been retained by John Davidson to appeal the Notice of Condemnation that he received on the above referenced property. Mr. Davidson had been staying elsewhere due to health issues, and had not been receiving his mail. When he did receive the Condemnation Notice he contacted our office. We are filing this as our appeal to your department's decision.
In review of the Condemnation Notice, it states that the principal violation is that the "water has been turned off due to a meter violation and lacks a basic facility." Mr. Davidson did pay the water bill. I have enclosed a copy of the invoice with a check attached. Our inquiry is regarding the latter portion of the violation "lacks a basic facility." Are there other violations that need to be corrected? After you receive this letter kindly give me a call so we can determine what the issue is.
