Title
Amending the financing and spending plan for the Rice Street and Maryland Intersection capital improvement project to reflect the project's Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has entered into a Cooperative Agreement (#PW 2010-19) with Ramsey County for right-of-way acquisition and construction cost participation associated with approved capital improvements at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Rice Street in St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to act as an agent for the County in acquiring the necessary right-of-way in order to make the intersection widening improvements, and
WHEREAS, the City will make payments for the right-of-way acquisition from the capital project known as SU-0601913 and approved by CF # 09-903, and
WHEREAS, the County will then reimburse the City for all costs associated with acquiring the necessary right-of-way, and
WHEREAS, Public Works needs to add the Ramsey County financing to the approved capital improvement budget in order to be able to purchase and make payments for the right-of-way necessary to construct the project, so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $1,760,018 is available from Ramsey County for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvement Budgets, in the following particulars:
