Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of jersey barriers from Highway Technologies to help contain flood waters.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation has a need for jersey barriers to help contain flood waters; and
WHEREAS, Highway Technologies has a supply of jersey barriers, and
WHEREAS, Highway Technologies has offered the use of 160 jersey barriers for the City of Saint Paul to use for the upcoming flood, and
WHEREAS, if the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation had to rent 160 jersey barriers it would be approximately $8,000.00 of public expenditures; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless Highway Technologies from claims and suits arising or resulting from the City's use of jersey barriers; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the use of 160 jersey barriers and appropriates it to the use for which it was intended and sincerely thanks Highway Technologies for their generous donation of these jersey barriers.
