Appeal of Floyd Johnson to a Re-Inspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy With Deficiencies at 1571 HAZELWOOD STREET.
Purpose of Appeal
The reason for this appeal is to claim that the windows in the bedroom are too small. The opening size of the double hung windows are 35 inches wide and 20 inches high. The glazed area is 32 inches wide and 36 inches high, which equals 8 square feet.
The house was built in the 1950's. I don't think the windows should be required to meet new construction codes. I would recommend leaving it as is (grandfathered in). I would appreciate your agreement with my cause.
