Title
Establishing a financing and spending plan in the Fire Department for the 2010 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Grant in the amount of $7,200 received from the State of Minnesota.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department has applied for and received a grant of $7,200.00 from the State of Minnesota for the 2010 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Grant to provide Hazardous Materials Technician Refresher training to the firefighters, and
 
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department is required to pay a matching fund contribution of $1,800.00 which will be paid from P5/001-05120-0111-50130, and
 
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received, and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $7,200.00 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 budget, and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2011 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant, authorizes the Saint Paul Fire Department to enter into and implement the attached agreement, which includes an indemnification clause, and approves the changes to the 2011 budget.
