Accepting the gifts of conference fee and hotel room from the Minnesota Clerks & Finance Officers Association for the City Clerk to attend their conference.
Body
WHEREAS, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) is a professional nonprofit association of municipal city clerks and officials from throughout the United State, Canada and around the world; and
WHEREAS, City Clerk Shari Moore is a Region Director on the Board of Directors of IIMC, representing the states of Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Clerks and Finance Officers Association (MCFOA) to financially help support the Minnesota Region Director on the IIMC Board; and
WHEREAS, MCFOA has offered the Region Director complementary registration to their 2011 conference valued at $200; and
WHEREAS, MCFOA has also offered the Region Director three complementary hotel room nights valued at $255 plus taxes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul accepts the gifts from the MCFOA on behalf of Shari Moore to allow her to attend the MCFOA conference.
