Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Police Department in the amount of $537,934 for the African Immigrant Muslim Community Outreach Program (AIMCOP) grant. (Council File #09-1231)

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department was authorized to enter into the African Immigrant Muslim Community Outreach Program (AIMCOP) grant from the U.S. Recovery Grant Program and the US Department of Justice (council file #09-1231); and

WHEREAS, a 2011 financing and spending plan needs to be established for these funds; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $537,934 of those estimated in the 2011 budget; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2011 budget; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant and approves the changes to the 2011 budget.
